They'll cover your old tub. We take it out.

A shower you can walk straight into, finished in three days — and nobody comes to your home until you've said yes. Your old tub leaves the house rather than getting covered over. The wall opens, the drain is replaced, and the substrate is waterproofed before a single panel goes back on. That is what the third day buys you.

Fixed prices from $8,900 — published below.
Text or email six photos of the bathroom. A written fixed price comes back the same day — London, St. Thomas, Woodstock, Strathroy and the towns between.

Three days on site
Before you get any quote

What “one day” actually means.

A tub-to-shower conversion done properly takes three days because of what happens on day one. The tub comes out. The wall opens. The drain line changes from 1½ inch to 2 inch. The substrate gets waterproofed before a single panel goes back on.

A one-day installation skips all of that. The acrylic goes over what is already there. It looks finished the same evening. Whatever was behind your old tub is still behind your new shower.

That isn't a scandal. For some bathrooms it is genuinely fine, and it costs less. But you should know which one you are buying, and the quote will not tell you.

Ask any company you're considering one question: “Are you removing the tub, or covering it?” The answer tells you most of what you need to know — including about us.

How it works

Nobody comes to the house until you've said yes.

Our systems are standardized, so we do not need to stand in your bathroom to price them. Six photos is enough. You get a real number the same day — not a range, not an estimate, and not a salesman in your living room at seven in the evening.

STEP 01
Text six photos
Two minutes on your phone. No form, no appointment, nobody calling you back four times.
STEP 02
Fixed price, same day
Itemized and in writing. The number you get is the number you pay. No change orders.
STEP 03
$500 holds your date
Refundable up to 48 hours before we start. Balance is due only when the work is finished and you've seen it.

What three days buys you

Here is exactly what happens, hour by hour.

Most companies will not tell you this, because on a one-day install most of it never happens.

1
Day one
Demolition and drain
  • Tub removed and carried out
  • Wall opened to the studs
  • Drain line changed 1½″ to 2″
  • Framing and subfloor inspected
  • Photographed before anything closes
2
Day two
Waterproofing and base
  • Backer board installed
  • Waterproof membrane applied
  • Base set, levelled, bedded
  • Flood test before panels go on
  • Licensed plumber ties in
3
Day three
Walls, glass and trim
  • Wall panels fitted and sealed
  • Glass installed
  • Valve, trim and fixtures
  • Niche, seat and rail set
  • Cleaned, walkthrough, keys back
While we're in the house

What the three days are actually like.

Most people are too polite to ask this, so here it is without being asked.

Can I still use the toilet and sink?
Yes — except for a few hours on day one while the drain line is changed. We tell you the night before exactly when that window is.
Where do I shower in the meantime?
You'll need another option for two nights. If this is your only bathroom, say so when you send photos and we will plan the work around it — it changes our sequence, not your price.
Will there be dust through the house?
We seal the doorway with a dust barrier before anything comes off the wall, run floor protection from the front door to the bathroom, and clean up every evening before we leave.
Do I need to be home?
Only the first morning, so we can walk it together. After that it is entirely up to you. Plenty of our customers are at work, and a good number are in another province.
Do I get to choose anything?
Yes. You choose the finish, the glass, and where the niche and the seat go. We bring physical samples on the first morning so you are holding them, not looking at a screen.
What time do you start and finish?
On site by 8:00, packed up by 5:00, and never on a Sunday. If that does not suit the household, tell us and we will work around it.

How we quote

We will often tell you to spend less.

Roughly a third of the time we recommend the $8,900 package to someone who called us about the $16,900 one. About one family in ten we tell to wait and spend nothing at all yet.

A company willing to talk you down is the only kind you should believe when it talks you up.

WALL SURFACESTUDSTUDSTUDFIXED TO STUDDRYWALL ONLY — FAILS
Every rail we fit lands on solid timber. We photograph it before the wall closes.
Nothing that looks like hospital equipment

A rail that reads as a towel bar.

This is the objection nobody in our trade takes seriously, and it is the one that actually stops people. It is almost never the money. It is what a chrome bar says about you every time you walk past it.

Standard fitting
What most contractors fit
Chrome, straight from the medical catalogue. Oversized flanges, exposed screws, matched to nothing. It works — and it announces itself daily.
Sterling Shower Co.
What we fit
Slim profile, concealed mounts, brushed nickel matched to the fittings already there. Blocked into studs. Visitors read it as a towel bar.

No lip to step over. No grab at the door frame. Warm underfoot, light where you need it, and a bench if you want to sit.

Most people tell us the first shower feels strange — because nothing about it requires thinking.

Three quotes, and Sterling was the only one who told me what was behind my tub. The photos of the wall open sold it before the price did.

Quoted $11,900 and paid $11,900. After what I have heard from friends about renovations, I did not expect that to be true.

In writing, every time

Three things we put on paper.

Fixed price, no change orders
The number in your quote is the number on your invoice. If we find something behind the wall, that is our problem, not a line item.
You pay when it's finished
$500 holds your date and is refundable to 48 hours before. The balance is due only after you have seen the work and approved it.
Ten-year waterproofing warranty
Not on the panels — on the waterproofing behind them. That is the part that actually fails, and it is the part nobody else warrants.
We install eight bathrooms a month. That is the whole capacity.
One crew, three days per bathroom, and the founder on every job. We are not trying to be the biggest company in London — we are trying to be the one you would recommend. When the month is full, we book you into the next one and tell you honestly when that is.

Who does the work

An engineer quotes it. An engineer builds it.

I'm Tatios Kechicha. Twenty years as an electrical engineer running industrial installation, commissioning and maintenance — work where a bad detail behind a wall has consequences you cannot paint over. My P.Eng. application is in progress with Professional Engineers Ontario.

There is no showroom here, no sales team and no television budget. That is why the price is what it is, and it is why the person who quotes your bathroom is the person standing in it three days later.

When we are not the right call.

If you want a fully tiled custom shower with a bench cut into the wall and a mosaic floor, we are not your best option. That is a different trade done properly by tile setters, and we will happily tell you who to call in London.

If your bathroom is smaller than roughly 5 by 7 feet, a conversion may not gain you much usable space. We will say so before you spend anything.

And if the tub is structurally fine and you simply want it looking newer, a refinisher will do that for a fifth of what we charge. It is a real option and it is often the right one.

We would rather lose the job than take one we are not the best answer to. It is a small industry and people talk.
Questions we actually get

The things people ask before they call.

Why are you cheaper than the big companies?
No showroom, no commissioned sales team, no television advertising. Those are real costs and somebody pays them. We would rather it were nobody.
Can you really quote from photographs?
Yes, for a standard tub alcove, which is the vast majority of homes here. If your bathroom is unusual we will tell you before taking a deposit, not after.
Who does the plumbing?
An Ontario-licensed plumber, on every job, included in the price. The drain change is permit work and we do not cut corners on it.
What if you find a problem inside the wall?
That is our risk, not yours. The price is fixed. The only exception is significant structural rot or asbestos, which we would stop and discuss before touching — and you would owe nothing.
Where do you work?
London and roughly 80km around it — St. Thomas, Woodstock, Ingersoll, Strathroy, Tillsonburg, Aylmer, Exeter and Stratford. Send a postal code if you are not sure.

Six photos. That's the whole first step.

Stand in the doorway and take one wide shot of each: the bathroom, the tub straight on, the shower wall, the opposite wall with the door, the floor, and the ceiling above the tub. Phone quality is fine.
